The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Center for Precision Psychiatry & Mental Health at Columbia University seeks, in the words of co-director Dr. Joseph Gogos, “to build on the accelerating progress in psychiatric genomics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and stem cell biology to revolutionize the treatment of mental illness.”
That work to better understand and therefore treat the underlying causes of severe mental illness is already underway, but this week Columbia held a ribbon-cutting for the SNF Center as its official inauguration.
