Through a grant under the SNF GHI, Breathe Hellas has launched a nationwide mental health awareness campaign aimed at young people across Greece. Titled the ‘Uniform of Hope’, the campaign seeks to break down stigma surrounding mental health discussions, normalize seeking professional help, and highlight the equal importance of mental and physical health.
Established in 2020, Breathe Hellas is dedicated to advocating for mental health in Greece by promoting self-care and fostering emotionally resilient communities. The Uniform of Hope campaign builds on the organization’s earlier efforts, which began in October 2022 under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Health. This previous initiative mobilized professional athletes and public figures to spotlight the significance of mental wellbeing and reduce stigma associated with seeking support.
To amplify its message and maximize its impact, Breathe Hellas has collaborated with the University Mental Health Research Institute (EPIPSY), the Hellenic Olympic Committee, and professional athletes. With support from the SNF GHI, the campaign officially launched in July 2024, serving as a catalyst for the organization’s expanded and ongoing outreach to young people across the country.
Breathe Hellas continues its work and outreach as part of the Uniform of Hope campaign, committed to fostering open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
