Under the GHI’s umbrella of international collaborations with top healthcare institutions across the world, SNF has partnered with the Sant Joan de Déu (SJD) Barcelona Children’s Hospital in support of the creation of the new SJD Pediatric Cancer Center in Barcelona, which was inaugurated in June 2022.

Since 1867, the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital has been dedicated to comprehensive care for women, children and adolescents, and is one of the most important specialized pediatric centers in Europe. Consolidating the model of research and medical care for childhood cancer promoted by the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital for over a decade, the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona aims at establishing itself as a leading international development cancer center.

Connected to the SJD Children’s Hospital, the Pediatric Cancer Center is distributed over five floors, with 70% spaces for medical care and 30% for research. The Centre has a Nuclear Medicine and Metabolic Therapy Service, a Day Hospital, operating theatres, transplant chambers, inpatient rooms, research laboratories and other non-care services, such as welcoming common spaces, spacious and light-filled to promote the well-being of patients and their families. Following an exemplary patient-centered approach, the Center serves over 400 new patients per year; offering multidisciplinary, super-specialized, highly complex and comprehensive care.
