Building on a 25-year history of SNF support for the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, an SNF grant made as part of its Global Health Initiative (GHI) supports the construction of the Beacon building on the NewYork-Presbyterian /Columbia University Medical Center campus in New York.
The Beacon building will include a dedicated Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit and state-of-the-art operating rooms to continue offering the best possible care to children with highly-complex and life-threatening congenital heart conditions at one of the leading centers of its kind.
Doctors and nurses from NewYork-Presbyterian /Columbia’s renowned pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery team are also contributing their expertise to help shape the cardiac care service line at the future SNF University Pediatric Hospital of Thessaloniki. This collaboration, also supported through the GHI, reflects the initiative’s commitment to cross-border knowledge sharing.
